Access to compute is an American right.

AIOA: AI Owners of America

Americans have a right to buy compute, possess open-model weights, and run AI on hardware they control, for lawful purposes, without a general-use permit.

If access to AI is locked behind permits, “approved users,” or a handful of closed APIs, capability becomes a caste. We organize so lawful people can own and run the tools—not merely rent them.

The government may license specific high-risk uses. It may not create a class of approved persons. Closed APIs may exist. They must not become the only legal path.

Who we are

A U.S. membership nonprofit on the 501(c)(3) path: education and civic. Members are U.S. citizens and permanent residents only. Intended dues are one tier, $25 per year — not collected on this site. Optional User or Owner self-label. No proof database of what you run.

Year one

Build the membership, publish the right, and run one state or local drill. A related 501(c)(4) Action Fund comes later, when there is a list, a treasurer, and a real bill. This site is not a PAC.
